Truck navigation designed around the vehicles drivers actually use.
Why we’re building it
Most navigation apps are designed for passenger vehicles. Box truck, semi, and hot shot drivers often have to use several tools to plan a trip, check bridge clearances, and find suitable stops. Terrapin Truck GPS brings these functions together in an app built around the dimensions of your vehicle.
What makes us different
- Vehicle-first setup. Start with your truck’s height, length, weight, and axle count.
- Publicly available data. We use federal bridge records, truck-parking information, public CNG station data, and other open sources where available.
- Clear feature disclosures. We explain the limitations of bridge alerts and distinguish between features available now and those still in development.
Development status
The Android app is currently being tested with drivers. We plan to release it publicly after additional road testing. An iPhone version is not yet available.
