Terms of Use

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Terrapin Truck GPS, a division of myGIGlife INC. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). They apply to the Terrapin Truck GPS app and terrapingps.online. By using either service, you agree to these terms.

Driver responsibility

Terrapin’s navigation, bridge alerts, and other information are intended to assist you, not replace your judgment or legal responsibilities. You remain responsible for operating your vehicle safely and lawfully, verifying its actual dimensions and weight, and complying with posted signs, traffic controls, permit conditions, and applicable laws. Plan your route before driving, and do not interact with the app in a way that distracts you from the road.

Information limitations

Routes, bridge clearances, locations, business hours, and prices may be based on incomplete or outdated public or third-party data. Low-clearance warnings identify possible hazards; they do not guarantee that a route is safe. The app does not provide legal advice or replace required permits, route surveys, or official instructions. Certain truck-specific routing features may not yet be available.

Your account

You must sign in using a Google account and are responsible for keeping that account secure. You must meet the legal requirements to operate your vehicle. You agree not to misuse, reverse engineer, disrupt, or unlawfully access the service.

Third-party services

The app relies on third-party services, including Google Maps Platform. Your use of those services may also be subject to their applicable terms, including the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service.

Early access and changes

Terrapin is currently in testing. Features may change, become temporarily unavailable, or be discontinued. We may modify the service and update these terms by posting a revised version and effective date.

Intellectual property

We own the Terrapin Truck GPS app, website, name, and logo, subject to applicable law. We grant you a limited, personal, nontransferable license to use the app in accordance with these terms. Third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

No warranty

The app and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for vehicle damage, load damage, fines, delays, or lost income arising from use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Arkansas law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Arkansas courts have jurisdiction to the extent permitted by law.
