GPS for owner-operators and semi drivers
Enter your tractor and your trailer once. Terrapin combines them for every trip.
Enter your tractor
Add the tractor’s height, length, weight, and axle count, and choose its fuel type: diesel, gas, or CNG. Terrapin uses the fuel type to put the right fuel first in your stop search.
Enter your trailer
Add the trailer’s height, length, loaded weight, and axle count. Dry van trailer presets for 53 and 48 feet are there as starting points. Replace them with your own numbers and your weight rating.

How the two combine
Terrapin uses the taller of the two heights and adds the lengths, weights, and axle counts. A trailer overlaps part of the tractor, so the added length can come out longer than your real overall length. Confirm the overall dimensions before you rely on them.
Dropped the trailer?
Choose “No trailer” to use your tractor-only profile.
What you get on the road
- Possible low-clearance bridge alerts for your combined height, two miles ahead and again at half a mile.
- Truck parking, rest areas, fuel, and weigh stations along your route, within a detour distance you set.
- Work zones, traffic incidents, and weather alerts on the route summary.
Measure it loaded. A trailer’s height changes with the load. How to measure your height.
